New Features of Emailias
|
|
|
|
This lists the latest features that have been added to Emailias...Enjoy!!!

-
Temporary Cc to Target
(1/4/08)
This feature has been added to help deal with unexpected emergencies. Any email
forwarded to a target email address can now have a copy sent to one alternative
email address. This is intended to help you ensure that you receive all of your
emails in case you suspect that one of your target addresses is not receiving correctly.
This is helpful in case your ISP decides to block email from Emailias. This can
happen if your ISP uses anti-spam blacklisting services that are overly aggressive.
Once the issue is resolved, you will then receive copies of those emails to both
email addresses. You can then turn off "Cc" to the alternate email address.
This feature is available on the property page for each "normal" target
email addresses.
-
New Blog
(12/6/07)
Emailias finally has a Blog to call our own. We'll update the blog with interesting
articles, relevant thoughts, and system announcements. Please stop by the blog at
the blog.emailias.com.
-
Customizable formatting of the "To" header
(7/14/07)
When an email is forwarded to your personal (target) email address, we change the
"To" header of the email to be a combination of your emailias and target address.
It's often easiest for you to have the emailias as the "To", but some mail services
will classify your email as spam if your personal (target) email address is not in
the "To" or the "Cc" header. Now you can choose what works best for you. This feature
found on the Target Properties page for each target email address that you have.
-
Quick-Search for an Emailias, and Search-Shortcuts!
(6/21/07)
Finding your emailiases just got easier. Every page on the main website now has a
"Find an Emailias" search box in the upper-right of the page. You can now search from
any page (this should have been done long ago, I know!).
Also, after you've searched for an emailias, each emailias search-result has shortcut
link-icons next to each common task (Write an Email, Delete, etc.). This should also make
your day go a bit quicker and let you get back to your work even faster! ;-)
-
Asynchronous Emailing
(6/19/07)
The "Write an Email" page now sends your email by quietly sending its data to the server
in the background. This means that if there is a problem with your email (i.e. you have
no recipients), then your page won't have to reload to tell you about it. This should
be a bit faster for everybody. Enjoy!
-
Asynchronous Saving
(6/18/07)
The Emailias Properties page now saves its data (when you click the save button) by
quietly sending its data to the server in the background. This means that the page
won't reload for you. Instead, the page will become "shaded" and a little pop-up window
will be shown that says "Saving". It should last only a couple of seconds and when it's
done, your data will have been saved. This will happen in both the main website and in
the pop-up window. Generally, this should produce a faster web experience for you!
-
Reply-Generator
(9/1/05)
Until now, you always had to first receive an email from another individual before you
could send an email to them from your emial client.
This feature allows you to generate an email and send it to yourself (only) as though
it was sent from any other email address. You can then use the email that you receive
to initiate an email to the other person's email address from your own email client.
To access this feature, go to the emailias properties page for the emailias from which
you want to send the email. There is a new menu item in the left-hand menu named
"Reply-Generator". Click on that link and you will be able to enter the sender's address
to send a reply-able email to yourself.
Default BccTarget
(8/14/05)
When sending an email from the Emailias website, you have always been able to include
one of your target addresses as a "Bcc" recipient. Now, you can default this value to
one of your target addresses (or target lists). Click on your login name at the top
of the page to view your Account Prefrences and customize your value. Or, you can also
-
Custom Domain Names
(7/23/05)
Use your own web domain to create your emailiases...
If you own your own domain name, then you can now create emailiases for your
domain instead of always using our default domain. You can add several custom
domains and choose from any one of them to create your emailiases. This feature
is only available if you have a Full Membership.
Click here for more information or to add your own domain.
-
Number of Browsing Results Configuration
(2/21/05)
Permanently set the number of browsing results to display...
Okay, this isn't a very big change in the grand scheme of things, but it's been
a nuisance for a while for those of you who like to see all of your emailiases
or targets on the same results page. Click on your login name at the top of the
page to view your Account Prefrences and customize your value. Or, you can also
-
New Emailias Email Engine
(2/1/05)
Update to the Internal Emailias Email Engine...
You shouldn't notice any difference immediately, but the engine that
powers your reliable Emailias service has been completely re-written and finally
launched. Yea! This is a stepping-off point for future enhancements, and is
meant to be a "compatability release" (i.e. you should notice no difference).
Keep your eyes open for the future of Emailias.
-
Friend Coupons
(7/4/04)
Create a coupon and give it to a friend...
You can now create any number of "coupons" and give one to a friend. The good
news is that you can choose the price of the first year of Emailias for your friend.
Your friend will indicate the coupon when they register for Emailias. When they
upgrade, they will pay the price that you have selected for the coupon. Whenever
a friend upgrades to a full membership, you earn a 100% "commission" in your own account
that goes toward the renewal price of your own membership.
You could actually renew your membership for FREE!
Please click here to go to your coupon management page.
-
Retire an Emailias!!!
(3/26/04)
WOW! This is big! Huge! If you love Emailias, then you'll love THIS!!!
Now you can "retire" an emailias, instead of deleting it. This helps you avoid
spam, but lets others still get in touch with you if they send an email to a
retired emailias.
Please click here to learn more about Retired Emailiases.
-
Anti-Virus Filtering
(3/15/04)
Emailias is very proud to announce that all emails that are forwarded through our
service are scanned for viruses. Virus defitions are updated continually through,
so we should be keeping up with new viruses as they emerge.
This feature comes standard with any membership (free or paid), just showing that
Emailias continues to lead with innovative and responsible functionality.
-
Link to "My Account" from every page.
(1/10/04)
When logged-in, your customer name is displayed at the top of the page.
This is now a link to the "My Account" page to display/change the preferences
for your account.
-
Added the "New Features" page (this page!)
(12/7/03)
Added this page to help keep people informed about the ongoing enhancements
and changes to the site.
-
Create a Named Emailias from the Pop-up Window
(12/7/03)
This allows you to create an emailias from the pop-up window.
This is accessible by going to the
My Account
page and changing the Default Pop-up Action choice to be
Ask me First: "Named or Random?". The next time that you create
an emailias by clicking on the "New Emailias!" button, the pop-up window
will give you the choice of creating a named emailias or a random emailias.
-
Add a New URL to Associate with an Emailias
(11/19/03)
Prior to this, an emailias could only be associated with a URL (web page)
by creating it from the pop-up. This meant that named emailiases could
not be associated with a web page and would therefore never be suggested
as an emailias to re-use when re-visiting a site.
This feature is available on the bottom of the properties page for each
emailias on the main site only (i.e. not available on the pop-up window).
Also, note that this is shown when in Advanced User Mode.
